Machine Head Tap Colin Richardson For New Album (Updated)

Update – July 29th 10:17am:

It turns out Colin Richardson is in fact mixing the new album and not Andy Sneap.

Original Story:

Machine Head‘s as-yet untitled new album appears to be in the mixing process now with Andy Sneap (Carcass, Killswitch Engage) again behind the boards. If memory serves, the last time Sneap and the band worked together was on 1997′s “The More Things Change…“. Group frontman/guitarist Robb Flynn shared the following image from the ongoing sessions with the caption:

“Chillin’ with my man Andy Sneap putting the finishing touches on this mofo!!! #BackstageStudios #cowsaremetal”

A fall release date through Nuclear Blast Entertainment is being mapped out for the album. A fall tour with Children Of Bodom, Epica and Battlecross was officially announced earlier today.

    *puts on nerd glasses*

Actually, Mr. Sneap worked on Through the Ashes of Empires. I think he helped with guitar tones, or something. A small role, but still…

This is good news, because mixing on previous 2 outings (even though they were good albums) wasn’t that good.

  • Stereotypical Evil Archer

Should’ve used Kurt Ballou for production and mixing.

So he takes a photo with Andy saying he’s mixing the album, and then there’s actually Colin Richardson who’s mixing the tracks? Uhmm can we ask for a Jerry Springer Special? I want this whole thing cleared out!
