Stone Temple Pilots Say ‘Recording Delays’ Aren’t The Cause Of Their Cancelled Shows

When the Stone Temple Pilots (and Linkin Park‘s Chester Bennington) cancelled their appearances at this years ‘Soundwave Festival‘, a statement was issued that cited recording delays as the reason for them pulling out. The band have since corrected that statement, offering the following today, February 03rd.

“We regret that, due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict, our forthcoming tour dates in Australia, the Middle East and Hawaii have had to be cancelled. An initial statement citing “recording delays” wasn’t true — the conflict wasn’t related to recording new STP material. We are deeply disappointed to not be able to perform these shows, and look forward to making them up in the future.

I didn’t expect the STP with Chaz thing to last very long before Linkin Park took priority.

Now we wait and see how long it’ll take them to drag Weiland’s anemic ass onstage to make a quick buck again.

    • Speaking for Australia, no one here really wants to see STP fronted by the Linkin Park dude. We’re more interested in Velvet Revolver touring again than them.
