In This Moment have some new releases planned for early 2014. First and foremost, the group will be reissuing their latest album “Blood” as a special edition with a bonus live DVD titled “Blood At The Orpheum” (see below for a trailer.)

That effort captures a Madison, WI set the band played earlier this year and is completed by behind the scenes footage and interviews. The CD itself will come with a bonus cover of Nine Inch Nails‘ “Closer“. The whole package will be released on January 21st through Century Media with a Blu-ray/CD variant available exclusively through Best Buy stores.

Those not interested in picking up the new album itself will have options as well as the digital live audio release of ‘Blood At The Orpheum” will take place on January 21st with the digital video release set for February 18th. Various pre-order options are currently available now at cmdistro.com.

This band has gotten weird. They only play music from their new record, at least they were doing so when they were a support act, and it’s turned into some kind of goth Broadway spectacle. Maria uses a hands-free mic and has two very average looking women dancing like her servants at her feet. I saw this at a festival and was largely just confused at what I was looking at. The rest of the band does NOT look like they should be participating in this. It’s all very strange.

      • Aftershock? Yeah I felt the same way. I liked them better at Ozzfest the first time I saw them. only song I recognized was that prayers song. Saw them again at Mayhem and they seemed to have changed and started putting maria up front more with those outfits. Then I see them now and Im just like when did Brittany spears start screaming? Ill be at the beer garden.

Saw them on Uproar last year. Horrendous. Maria can’t sing and didn’t even attempt to sing over the backing tracks at times. Just a horrible and sloppy mess live. I also don’t find her attractive as she appears very haggard and worn out in person but I’m not a fat guy in sweat pants with facial piercings which appeared to be their main non-15 year old girl fan base.
