Incidentally ETID seems like the mutually agreeable band I would place there. But again I may just be out of it.

      • For me they are! I saw them in February and they were the heaviest sound band I’ve ever seen live. Best live drummer I’ve ever seen by a long shot – and for any genre. The vibe was totally on and the show kicked a mule’s ass.

I’ve been fortunate enough to see Gojira live 3 times in the last 16 months.

1st time in a packed Bottom Lounge in Chicago where they absolutely crushed it playing a bar that holds 800 people last minute due to the Dethklok/LOG tour cancelation.

2nd time with a surprisingly packed House of Blues with Devin Townsend Project and Atlas Moth where they played the same setlist as the Bottom Lounge show but it was still amazing

and the 3rd time with Slayer and 4ARM in a sold out Aragon Ballroom in which Gojira tore the place apart. If Slayer fans weren’t dipshits living 20 years in the past they may have appreciated them more.

For a band that plays such loud and retardedly heavy music they seem very nice and polite people. Even writing brutal and crushing music they still got a message of keeping your childhood innocence and spirit alive. More metal could show emotions besides rage, murderous rage and supressed rage.
