Finch Play New Song Live, Say They “Will NOT Be Breaking Up”

Finch have wrapped the North American leg of their “What It Is To Burn” 10th anniversary reunion tour and have no plans to pack it in. Of that the band offered:

“We want to thank all of our fans for a wonderful year celebrating What It Is To Burn, the anniversary tour surpassed all of our expectations… We have the
best fans in the world! Last night was the last WIITB Anniversary Show in North America, We’ll be playing WIITB in Japan and Australia in February and that will be the end of the WIITB tour. The album has meant so much to us and we cannot thank our fans enough for helping us celebrate it this past year.

We will NOT be breaking up. We have never said that we’d break up. We only knew that the anniversary tour would be limited. We will definitely be playing some shows beyond the WIITB tour and are looking forward to the future. This is because of our amazing fans… we had no idea that a couple anniversary shows would turn out to be a year long sold out world tour… Thank you. See you soon!

Love

Nate, R2, Grizzly, Daniel and Alex

If you are looking at potential hint for their future plans, the group played a new song during their Los Angeles, CA set at this past Friday, December 13th. The track is apparently titled “Back To Oblivion” with fan-filmed footage available below:

I want you to know that, I miss you, I miss you so.

I wouldn’t mind a third album by these guys; as along as it’s at least as challenging as Say Hello to Sunshine.

I’m not even into this band enough where I would normally post on a story about them, but “What it is to Burn” was a solid jam, and good on them for doing well enough with Finch again to make new music and have fun touring. Just had to post something to counter all the negativity on this page.

Of course they aren’t breaking up! They will be back in a few years for the What It Is To Burn 15th anniversary tour (which will last THREE years this time), after which they will immediately start the What Is It To Burn 19th anniversary tour, which will of course lead into the 16 year anniversary of the Say Hello To Sunshine anniversary tour, but not before they go off on the 20th anniversary tour of the Falling Into Place EP.
