    • No More Lies! No More Goddamn HollyWood Vampires! ( insert something here). NO mercy for the Heartless. Typical lyrics…but all in all….Spider Studios made it sound pretty good phonically.

p.s. – there is an end? The end is pretty boring…they should’ve cut that out and left it at 3 and change.

      • “Suck it dry, suck it dry” to fill in your blank. Which I only heard because I wanted to confirm “hollywood vampires” was actually part of the lyrics. I wonder if he realizes Twilight pretty much kills any chance of interpreting that lyric the way he wanted to.

        • Even if you think of Twilight when he says that, he says NO more Hollywood vampires. So I’ll just interpret it that way. Especially since he talks about ripping hearts out, and putting guns to peoples heads in this song. I’ll take it. Kill those Twilight vampires lol. Where’s Blade when you need him to “corny” things up even more.

        • Yeah, that’s the thing. From context he’s obviously talking about Hollywood exec types sucking the life and originality of things. But by itself, “no more Hollywood vampires” made me think he’s whining about vampires going all soft and sparkly ever since Twilight.

      • Wow, you guys are so off base. This song is actually an anti-illuminati song. That is what he means by hollywood vampires, suckin the music industry dry. Also, it’s made obvious by the symbolism in the video. Mark is suggesting we waste all the Kanyes and Jay Z’s of the world…. Which may be where the “heartless” reference comes from, idk.

    • I thought it was decent, better than much of the last album for me. It had a couple of tasty riffs, I can imagine it sitting in an album well enough.

I was disappointed to see everyone leave but Mark, but then again the last album blew pretty hard so who cares. At first I thought I was done with Chimaira but if they swing around my town I’ll always go see them.

Obligatory? Probably laziness. There’s lot of better bands out there, no matter how subgenre specific one wishes to be. And Chimaira used to be admirable in their passion, now it’s just a place name; supporting them “just because” seems odd to me.

Hunter IS NOT a good enough musician to write his own shit. He HAD a ton of help from rob who actually knew how to write tunes. This new shit is a clusterfuck of ideas with awesome leads because Emil knows what the fuck he’s doing. The rest of the dudes in the band are CHEAP hired guns… Mask it however you want. This new shit fuckin sucks.

      • Haha what the fuck are you talking about, dude?….. Lemme tone this down for a sec. I actually agree with you about Mark. Without dudes like Rob, Matt, Jim, and Andols, Mark just doesn’t have it. This band absolutely shouldn’t be called Chimaira. I also agree that Emil is a great guitarist. Totally solid leads. But to say that “CHEAP hired guns” thing isn’t accurate. I’d say that for the new drummer, who played on this and Age Of Hell, and maybe the Dirge Within guitarist. BUT, you have Emil, Jeremy, AND Sean Z, WHO ARE ALL FROM DAATH. Those guys know how to play music together, and play it well. THIS particular song is kinda dumb, and it shouldn’t have been one of their singles, but than again, they’ve been putting out shit singles since Resurrection. All That’s Left Is Blood was a good single, but they should’ve gone with something better, like maybe the title track (the teaser of that made it sound pretty intense), or maybe Kings Of The Shadow World, I dunno. I’m trying not to look at it as Chimaira exactly. I know why people aren’t gonna like this in general. It’s not old Chimaira, and I miss that just as much as anyone, because they kicked ass back in the day. But, I’m still looking forward to it. And if it turns out to be bad, I’ll look back on this moment, and have to eat my words lol. I can see you’re not into it, and my one random internet comment isn’t gonna change your mind probably. =P

        • There’s the entire problem. We have Hunter and the old dead corpse of Chimaira dragging along while likely nothing is being done in the Daath camp. Yeah, it was the Daath members’ decisions to join Mark, but Daath haven’t exactly been well known until these guys joined the brand name. I’m sure they wanted some semblance of a paycheck. In the meantime we’re getting shittier music from a shittier vocalist because he does control some of the musical input.

        • Oh, and “totally massively sick” bass drops, bros. This band is done…Mark’s right, put the gun to its fucking head already.

‘Im not trying to look at it as Chimaira exactly.’

That’s all you really have to say… It hasn’t been going good for a couple records, but this is bad enough that I’m not even going to bother picking this up. Really stupid lyrics. Just not a solid song. I wonder why this shit sucks now?? Hmmmmmmmm…

        • Just to clarify. The new drummer is Austin d’amond. A great friend of mine who is now in a band called the elite with rob. He played in bleed the sky prior to chimaera. He is now in Chimaira, the elite with rob, and Soul deux with wayne from bleed the sky. A great drummer. This is the first album he has recorded with chimaera.

I’ve always wanted to see up Mark’s nostrils and this video has finally provided me with that opportunity. A heartfelt thank you to the cinematographer of this video… Seriously…WTF?
