Suffocation Guitarist Shows ‘Illegal Downloaders’ How To Buy His Bands Latest Album
Suffocation guitarist Guy Marchais has uploaded the following video showing ‘illegal downloaders’ how to buy his groups latest album, “Pinnacle Of Bedlam“. That effort was released in stores earlier this week.

Honestly, why would anyone illegally download such a beast of an album?? I know this might seem hyperbolic but I think this is the best death metal album in the last 5-10 hell even 20 years. Find me a better one!

This album is well worth picking up. Not their best, but it’s a fucking beast forsure. I’d still take their self titled over this one, but it’s better than Bloodoath.

He went to the mall to buy music. I don’t know if most of you have noticed, but most malls no longer have music stores.
Secondly, they wanted $18 and change for that CD. When I was a heavy collector I refused to shop at FYE, look at how much the CD was regularly, $19.99. That’s crap. I remember back in the day they were charging $23.99 for a Sepultura cd, non import.
Stores like Best Buy are downsizing and phasing out their CD music racks and pushing MP3 players in their place.
Why not just tell people to buy it on iTunes or Amazon MP3? It’s a lot cheaper and you don’t have to pay a bunch of 3rd parties for distribution, when the only distributor who gets a cut outside of the label is company hosting your mp3 sales?

In the time in took him to walk out and start his car, I downloaded the album. (I know he didn’t show that part.) Why in this day in age would anyone want to waste the gas money , drive to a mall or record store to buy a disk with music on it and a price of paper with some pictures on it at double the price when you could download it in under a min. Free or if your a fan and can afford it there is bandcamp , itunes a lot of bands are using kickstarter now. This dude needs to get with the times.

When there are (non)fans that live on a rock in the middle of the ocean, with not a single record store, the intertubes are my friend, I do still buy music, but only shit that is worthy of owning, and at that I only buy from the artist, ensuring that they get the money. Having to pay a plane ticket to go to a show really takes away the experience. Fuck this dude and his shitty fuckin band.
I don’t get this dude. First, he says don’t download their shit. Then, he says download it and if you like it, buy it. According to him, it’s apparently alright for us to download his shit as long as we don’t like it.
ever notice it’s bands that arn’t that popular that always bitch about “downloading” make music people want to spend money on. It’s funny to me with people and their 360 deals, their needing a tour bus after ONE record, thier signiture guitars, multiple cabinets, needing guitar techs and roadies on your club tours and wonder why their broke. They go to the record label and the record label tells them its “all the downloaders” maybe you should humble your self stop spending money you don’t have and stop giving the record company 85% of your earnings. Music whatever genre is suppose to be shared and enjoyed by all. the way FILESHARING works is someone DID buy the album and is digitaly having people come over and listen to it. it’s the same as if your friend has a CD and makes a Tape for you. nothing illegal about likeing music you like it you buy a teeshirt. you buy a Ticket TO SEE THEM LIVE. you buy the album if your not skipping eveytrack but not their youtube vid that got you liking them in the first place. as soon as these loons who think their too good to have a real job and work for their money they need to find that out. …..sorry for all the and’s.
and thats just a generalization to the whole collective of musicians whinning not suffocation they have been around but really how many kick ass albums have they made?? thats right none. they have made FANTASIC songs btu not albums. thats the point im making.
