    • Damn that’s some fantastic shit right there. Sucks that I haven’t been able to catch them at all on this tour yet. I believe Deftones is the act I have seen the most times live out of any other band. I remember hanging out with Chino and the guys when I was just the tender age of 12 at a show that was the size of a small apartment. Adrenaline had just come out. Fuck, memories.

I love the song Entombed SO FUCKING MUCH. It makes me so happy. And it’s awesome to see the whole crowd singing along to the chorus even though that’s the first time they’re playing it live. I am seeing them May 1st and I cannot WAIT!!!

    • Wow – mojo for miles. They did a late tour on ATF and the only FL date was some douchebag club on the beach in Panama City. But for that night Deftones rocked it with waves crashing in the background a a mosh pit in the pool (it was insane). Since it was in the middle of nowhere, everyone there was a huge fan that drove from far away – but there was some maniac in the crowd going a little too off an hurting people. So, Chino stopped the song, brought the guy up on stage on the side to have him chill and…. bought him a beer.

Feiticeira is such a timeless song that it blows my mind everytime I hear it. It sounds as if it was recorded yesterday and is one of the creative zeniths in the Deftones career imho.

    • Chino seems super chill in that last vid. He’s usually not so personable live, at least when I saw him. Then again he was usually utterly hammered back in the day.

They are amazing. They aren’t my #1, but they are definitely up there. Honestly, I don’t even know who my number one is; depends on my mood, I suppose.

        • That’s the great thing about Deftones, their music is so atmospheric and aggressive at the same time. No matter what your mood, there’s a tones song that mirrors what you’re feeling.

I had the honor of doing so about 6 years ago on the bus, very cool, indeed. I don’t think they’re down for that shit anymore, though, unfortunately… Won’t ever forget that night!

        • I know they still get down on the herbage, especially Stefan Carpenter. That must have been a truly memorable, once in a life time experience. Chino is one of the only vocalists, on a long list of favorite bands, who I have not had the pleasure of hanging out with for an evening.
