Meshuggah Singer Jens Kidman Still Ill, To Miss Tonight’s Show In Philadelphia, PA

Meshuggah frontman Jens Kidman is still under the weather with the flu and thus won’t be performing with the band tonight in Philadelphia, PA. Of that, the band stated:

“So this shit continues. It’s….well you know exactly what it is. And whats going to happen. Jens evil cardboard-twin will once again hit the stage. This time in Philadelphia. But fuck it! Come to the TLA and help us crush this Valentines day to tiny bits and pieces Philly!!”

If the bands past two shows have set the tone, you can expect the group to play with a cardboard cutout of Kidman on the stage and Intronaut‘s Sacha Dunable to fill-in on “New Millennium Cyanide Christ“. Some fan-filmed footage from last night’s Kidman-less show (sans, of course, the cutout and a live vocal track) in Charlotte, NC can be found below:

    • Lots of people can say they’ve seen Meshuggah. Not many people can say they’ve seen Meshuggah fronted by a blowup doll with Jens cardboard face attached. I’m proud to be part of that second group. It was awesome.

Jensyborg should’ve gotten a mac voicebox. Hopefully they’re installing a less glitchy model.
Only thing to better my Meshuggah experience would’ve been them playing “Corridor of Chameleons.”
