Ex-Korn Drummer David Silveria Pleads Guilty In DUI Case

Former Korn drummer David Silveria recently entered a guilty plea in his DUI case. The incident in question took place last March after Silveria rear-ended another automobile and allegedly fled the scene. The new plea (Silveria had previously pled not guilty) was part of a deal which saw the hit and run charges against him dropped.

Silveria maintains that he was under the influence of a sleeping pill during the accident. According to TMZ.com, he was sentenced to three years of informal probation, a 3-month first offender program and mandatory attendance at a M.A.D.D. victim impact panel.

    • Just because you get yourself a DUI, it doesn’t mean that you are under the influence of booze.

You could be under the influence of anything – legal or illegal…and if you drive, you will still earn a DUI if you are caught.

So, he can maintain that he was under the influence of a sleeping pill…but he’s still under the influence.

Apparently his lawyer failed law school.

      • Uhhh… He pled guilty. Or did you fail to read the article entirely. I’m sure him specifying that it was sleeping pills is more of a PR move (for whatever reason) than anything, as it doesn’t come across anywhere near as bad as drunk driving.
