Rage Against The Machine Planning Something For Later This Year?
Rage Against The Machine may have something in the works for later this year. Legendary bassist Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath recently let slip the news in the below interview. When asked who would be playing drums with the band live later this year, he responded:
“We’re not sure yet, we don’t know. ‘Cause I think Brad‘s got commitments with Rage Against The Machine. And… so it will either be Tommy [Clufetos] or Brad [Wilk], depending on their commitments.”
Black Sabbath had of course tapped Rage Against The Machine drummer Brad Wilk for their forthcoming new studio album, which is tentatively titled “13” and is expected out in June.

Rage plans on playing enough shows to piss everyone off that they didn’t come near them
Well then goddamnit I’ll go to them.
My sentiment exactly. AND theyll play with some assbag like Kanye West instead of Megadeth or something.
Kanye West > Megadeth, and I don’t even really listen to hip hop. His last album was fantastic; Megadeth was always trite to me.
Megadeth for whatever reason is the metal band my head goes to when I’m trying to drum one up. I realize fully that the pairing would be awful. I am a fan of their classic stuff though and have nothing but contempt for acts like Kanye
Alright, fair enough. I understand what you mean
Implying that Dave Mustaine isn’t an assbag?
I love Kanye, people don’t give him enough credit and just dismiss him for being mainstream, I love Megadeths old stuff but If Rage toured with Kanye it would be pretty awesome. How about Rage with Kendrick Lamar and Bodycount?
Give Kanye enough credit?! The dude is a joke, an overrated, mainstream puppet. That shit isn’t even hip hop nor is anything readily available to your ears on any mainstream outlets.
Kanye, I award you no credit and may god have mercy on your soul.
No redeeming qualities in K West’s ‘music.’
Horrid..
If I ever turn on the TV, it’s for the How It’s Made series. But every once in a while I’ll spend 5 minutes hopping around the MTV/fuse channels to see what people are into. I literally feel like I’m being forced to deepthroat a curling iron.
Rage plans on playing enough shows to piss everyone off due to them screwing up their own legacy trying to milk the cow dry.
spent six minutes trying imagine what putting dave mustaine and zack de la rocha on a stage together would even be like…my money is on one if not both of them getting boo’ed off the stage by the other’s fans once they start talking.
Talk about clashing ideals.
I’m glad Sabbath got someone who knows how to beat the shit out of the skins, Brad Wilk’s right up there with Grohl, Cameron and Chamberlin.
