    • Eh, it isn’t all that bad considering. They picked mostly the better mainstream acts. Lzzy Hale is a killer vocalist and deserves to be beside Corey Taylor and Chino Moreno.

In fact, I’d say the only areas where I wouldn’t want to vote for any of the nominees are ‘most dedicated fanbase’ and ‘best new act’.

The real problem is that the wrong acts are going to beat out the best ones.

    • Why Matt Halpern (Periphery) isn’t among the nominees for best drummer… Beats me.

Same as why the “best bassist” category is named after Paul Gray. Yeah, it’s terrible that he died, but that doesn’t make him a better bass player, at all – it’s like naming the “best drummer” category after Meg White, for example… :S

Meg White isn’t dead retard. All joking aside, theres nothing all that distasteful about naming an award in memoriam. When Les Claypool kicks they’ll rededicate it.

About 5% good bands… The rest are terrible. These awards mean nothing at all, when you consider the fact that you’re literally comparing piles of shit. The few good bands should be offended by their fellow nominees.
