    • Don’t mean to offend any self-believed ferocious warrior fan of WWE… but my fragile brain is trying really hard to understand how can a man that creates such unique art attend these events?

I guess i’ll go back to my cave now!

My thoughts exactly. Beyond weird that such a cerberal and inventive human being could find passion in pro wrestling. So to sum up his interests: stretching the limits of what a guitar can produce, movie special fx, and
        … pro wrestling.

Is it really that surprising? I bet plenty of folks we admire for their art are into things we would never associate them with. He probably likes the mindless entertainment or maybe he’s been following pro wrestling since he was young. Either way, I admire the fact that he isn’t embarrassed of being associated with the WWE.

Exactly! Corgan runs his own wrestling promotion and even appeared on ECW back in the day.

Reverend Ultimate Warrior…”Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today because this freak of nature right here is just beginning to swell, and when I get big enough, brother, there ain’t gonna be room for anybody else but me and all the Warriors floating through the veins.”

    • I thought wrestling was a joke but my 8 yo son thought it was cool, so I took him to a match and I realized I was right; we laughed alot. It is performance art that relies heavily on crowd participation. The memory of The Junkyard Dogs smashing The Elvis Impersonators guitars over their heads was worth the money. Everyone knew it was coming but they dragged it out forever, even let them sing a few lines of “Hound dog”, then kapow! Old ladies and kids, everyone went nuts. Good times.

I loved wrestling as a kid. Now, I can’t watch it without cringing the entire time. I can somewhat understand Adam’s liking for wrestling if he liked it since he was young. You’d have to think that it was a very special place for him since he proposed there, but I can’t help but wonder what his soon to be wife was thinking…
