Current And Former The Dillinger Escape Plan Drummers Jam Together

While no further details were provided, a rather unique The Dillinger Escape Plan-related event appears to have recently taken place. Band bassist Liam Wilson recently shared this photo of the groups current drummer Billy Rymer in the studio jamming with their ex-drummer Gil Sharone.

Sadly, judging by Wilson‘s “impromptu drum jam” caption and the lack of microphones in the picture, it doesn’t look as though this clash of the proverbial titans was recorded for the album. As of late, The Dillinger Escape Plan have been in the studio tracking their new album for a spring release with longtime producer Steve Evetts (Every Time I Die, Suicide Silence).

The effort will see a release through Party Smasher Inc./Sumerian Records with the band recently announcing:

“…Sumerian Records is now the official home for our label “Party Smasher Inc.” Look for the new Dillinger Escape Plan release this spring followed by some other exciting projects and releases! Get ready. 2013 belongs to us.”

Pennie and Rymer would be exciting. I always forget about Gil, seems like he was in the band for 10 minutes
