Limp Bizkit’s New Track “Lightz” Leaks Online, Band Film Music Video For Lil Wayne Collaboration

A brand new Limp Bizkit track titled “Lightz” has leaked out online and can be heard below. According to frontman Fred Durst, the song is not their new single and was “leaked prematurely”. While not explicitly stated, the track is expected to appear on their forthcoming album for Cash Money, “Stampede Of The Disco Elephants“.

Meanwhile, a music video is in production for their collaboration with Lil Wayne, “Ready To Go“. The video is being shot for the “Urban Assault Version” of the song with various photos from the filming available here, here, here and here.

      • That was my first thought as well. I’ll admit it, I never really listened to Limp Bizkit to begin with, so I’m not totally sure how much of a change this is, but this sounds like an obvious ploy to become relevant again.

    • Chunky riffs were the only thing that was stopping the levels of bad in this band from imploding into a black hole destined to destroy humanity altogether.

      …fuck

      • Seriously. Who in the band said, “You know, we should really focus on Fred’s vocals for this one, and pretty much drop out any contribution from the rest of the band.”

I know they said they were working on 2 albums: a more hip hop one and a more hard rock one. I’m reeeeeeaally hoping this is off of the former.

I was still rooting for them up until Gold Cobra (after all, it sounded like classic LB)
But this new single is just plain awful.
      I’m done with these sellouts.

As a hip hop, it’s really not that bad at all. I’d much rather hear this at the bar than the current shit that’s out there. But I say that as someone that went to a Yelawolf concert last night; check-out Push ‘Em, more rock vibe than this track.

    • Not only is this completely bland and horrible, it’s a punishment to all wrestling fans… Because they will probably have to suffer this until april 2013. The band’s “big” enough (and Durst has a wrestling link), and it sounds exactly like the most recent Wrestlemania (and RAW) crap songs. Dibs on predicting they’ll play the song in NJ next april 7th for WM29 -_-

Dear mr Borland, what did they do to you to make you allow this crap to get not only recorded, but released?

This whole camp needs to stop. They seriously need to fucking stop and step away from the stage. By all means work in the world of music behind the scenes, but please go the fuck away, you aren’t relevant anymore.

Ok, so does anyone else out there need any more proof that Lil Wayne is a corny MF ? “Yeah, that Limp Bizkit is HOT, I’m feelin’ a guitar solo…and gots to have some autotune.
