Deftones Perform With Bad Brains Singer In Baltimore, MD
@deftonesband The Deftones were joined by a special guest during their set at the Rams Head Live in Baltimore, MD last night. Bad Brains vocalist H.R. joined the group for a cover his own bands “Right Brigade” and a rendition of the Deftones‘ “Bored“. Fan-filmed footage of both pairings is now available online below.
At least one member of the Deftones couldn’t contain his inner fanboy over the pairing. Bassist Sergio Vega took his Twitter with the following:

Both bands have new albums in the wings with the Deftones to release “Koi No Yokan” on November 13th. The Bad Brains‘ “Into The Future” will arrive the following week on November 20th.

I was there. Deftones played a long set. Even hung with chino after the show for a few. Deftones still got it.

God, this reminds me of the old ’96 Maritime Hall SF show of the Deftones that’s been on the net for 15+ yrs.
Sergio Vega is a cool ass dude and one hell of a bass player but he aint no Chi Cheng.
It’s not like Chi got kicked out or something. The spot in the band is his to take back if he ever gets better. But in the meantime, Sergio’s the man and is doing a kickass job.
