Palms—the highly anticipated new project from Deftones frontman Chino Moreno and ex-Isis members Aaron Harris, Jeff Caxide and Bryant Clifford Meyer—now have a release timeframe in mind for their debut offering.

The group are now shooting for a spring 2013 release via Ipecac Recordings. In the meantime, the band have posted some new promo pics and photos from the recording sessions over at their newly-launched Facebook.

Looking forward to the all the thirty second teases, dates pushed-back due to schedules, and one song streaming on the day it was supposed to come out. That sounds like a knock against’em but I mean every fucking word. The amount of beauty that could come out of this project is staggaring. I can’t see myself being let down.

I agree with you this is a very exciting collaboration! I can’t wait to hear it!

Two months from now I see a post saying “Chino to be heading into the studio sometime to this month to record vocals.” Two months from then, I see the same post, and so on and so forth. A fucking Isis 10 year reunion will take place before he records the vocals.

there is no possible way for this project to not be amazing, I do hope that they include a couple of Isis tracks in their live set, it would be cool to hear Meyer and/or Moreno sing Turner’s vocal parts and would work perfectly – a win win for all ears…
