New Zao Album Due Out In 2013

Zao have a new album in the works for a release sometime next year. The group checked in recently with the following update regarding that:

“Ok just a tiny update. First we suck we need to keep up with this a lot more we are bad at that. But we’ve decided that before any shows, we have to have a solid framework for a record release. We have been laboring over songs for over a year and we want this record to be our best! You guys are amazing and deserve no less! Things are coming together and we hope to have a release in 2013 for sure!”

Cool. I’ve enjoyed most every album so far. I still wish Jesse would come back. The music seemed more experimental then.

One of the bands that definitely opened the door to a lot of the music I listen to today. Stoked to see another album from these guys.

I’m definitely somewhat psyched for this.

I love these guys and am happy that they are still soldiering on and did not die off. Also cheers to the fact that Dan is back to his usual bad self after his medical issues earlier this year. Excited for this new release.

Anytime a new Zao album is released, it’s a good year.

Anything will be better than “Awake”.

I really liked “Awake?”. But of course I am from the school that believes “Funeral of God” is the all time best. Everything before “Liberate” is hit or miss with me.

I liked Awake as well. It wasn’t their best, but it had some decent tracks on it. The second part of Quiet Passenger is one of my favorite songs from them.
