Underoath Speak Further On Their Decision To Call It Quits
Underoath have followed up the official statement regarding their decision to call it a day with the following words via their Twitter:
“If you haven’t heard, today’s a big day. A reflection day. A day of looking back at what the past 12 years has been to us and to you guys. We can’t express what you all mean to us. We’ve ALWAYS been in this together and the amount of gratitude we have for you all can’t be stated This isn’t EXACTLY goodbye yet though, as we do have our farewell tour in the works for early 2013… It’s gonna be awesome! #realgoodbye”

I don’t get it. Isn’t everyone in that band a new member? None of them have been there for 12 years together…
The drummer is the newest member, he came in in 2010 after leaving Norma Jean, but the others have all been in the band since around 2002. So It hasn’t truly been 12 years for any of them, but still it’s been a long time.
And thus, we close the final chapter on screamo.
