as bashable as this tracklisting is, i still proudly own a cassette copy of loud rocks.
I’d agree with you, only I don’t recognize ANY of those bands. Even worse, only three of the songs being covered are recognizable to me (Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Billie Jean and Somebody I Use To Know).
Thus, I could give a big fat flying fuck about this comp.
I got no problems with Memphis May Fire, WCAR, and Secrets….have seen all three live….there comes a point where music changes and you can either change with it, or become an old fart and hate the younger generations music

Agreed; sounds like something marketed to children that just outgrew their KidzBop CDs, something terrible some marketing major dreamed up.
I have never, ever met anyone that pretends this is punk. Ever.
In truth, I hate pop music more listening to songs off of these records then hearing it on the radio.
Do any of you realize that these are covers? Punk bands singing popular songs. They aren’t their actual songs.
Are you fucking kidding me? I say earlier that I didn’t know anyone that pretended these bands were punk, then some dude that isn’t even a regular poster breaks that streak immediately after?
Well, fuck me.
Of course we know they’re covers. They’re basically pop bands covering pop bands. In terms of structure and talent, they’re roughly equivalent to the worse side of modern pop.
………. you serious? Aside from the fact that most are popular songs and the story, you know, lists the original artist followed by the word “cover” and all.
God. Damn it.
