New Deftones Song To Debut Next Week, Group Choose First Single From “Koi No Yokan”
The Deftones will be debuting their new song “Leathers” next Tuesday, September 18th. Meanwhile, “Tempest” has been selected as the first single from the groups forthcoming album, “Koi No Yokan“, and will follow on October 09th.
“Koi No Yokan” will receive a November 13th release date. While a tentative track listing for the album has been circulating online; the bands camp have stated that it is not entirely correct. Expect more info soon.

Perhaps “Tempest” is the same as “Trempest”, the song that was rumored to be on the unreleased Eros.

I looked-up the meaning of that album title, and it’s still dumb.
Honestly, I think it’d sound cooler if japanese was our primary language. Apparently, it means more than simply ‘love at first sight’, it means hope for the future, etc.. You know, really deep stuff.

My thoughts exactly! What gives? It is Wednesday morning where I am. These bloody bands need to specify times, TIMES PEOPLE! For christ sake, something like “Released midday UTC” Would suffice but nooooo, fuckers’ probably way too stoned to even remember they recorded an album!
I wish the Deftones would surprise us with a cover of the Melvins’ “Revolve” off of Stoner Witch.
Those riffs on an eight string and Chino’s whispers to screams, Abe on the kit, Sergio laying some groove, and Frank doing his thing…. damn that would be nice.

I never believe a single thing that is posted on the web that states any specific date and/or time deftones will be premiering any album or song.
I am very disappointed we haven’t heard any album version of any song to this point so I am just gonna take a deep breathe and practice some patience.
