Baroness Members Released From The Hospital, Band To Take The Rest Of The Year Off
The remaining members of Baroness have all been released from the hospital following their bus crash while on tour in the UK. In addition to putting the bus driver in critical condition, the crash left the bands John Baizley with a broken left arm and left leg; while Allen Blickle and Matt Maggioni each suffered fractured vertebrae.
Various other members of their road crew were treated and released for injuries suffered in the accident. A new statement was just issued by the band and reads as follows:
“John Baizley has been released from hospital. Allen and Matt have arrived back in the United States.
All remaining 2012 tour dates are canceled.
Thank you for all of the continued support.”

It’s fantastic news that everyone is recovering and the band is okay. Hopefully the bus driver will progress as well. While it sucks that they have to be out of commission for as long as they will, I’m glad they’re taking the time. We need this band to heal completely. Judging by where popular music is going, we’re going to need Baroness in the years to come to help keep some of us sane in this ever-blossoming shit-flower called the music industry.
At least were not in the 80′s I mean, Thrash was cool, but not good enough for me too survive all that Glam trash, popular music has always been shit.

Hopefully the silver lining to all of this is that Pete can go finish off that Valkyrie album. I’ve been dying to hear new material from them.
And John can start working on “Purple.” And yes, that will be the next title. I called Yellow two years prior, so this shall be as well.
