Hatebreed Mistakenly Listed As White Power Band In CNN Piece (Updated)
A CNN.com opinion piece on white power bands written by Lonnie Nasatir mistakenly had Hatebreed listed among various racially-prejudiced acts earlier today. While the piece has since been updated with Hatebreed‘s name being omitted from the list; the group have taken to their Twitter to express their outrage:
“Again @CNN loses all respect. First they ignore the #FREERANDYBLYTHE story now they slander us. We demand a retraction & an apology. #hacks”
“Writers like Lonnie Nasatir are the reason why the American media is looked at as a complete joke. Shame on @CNN & @chicagoadl @cnnopinion”

The article has since been updated with the following addendum:
“A previous version of this commentary incorrectly included the band Hatebreed in a list of white power bands. Hatebreed is a self-described “hardcore metal” band. CNN regrets the error.”

Again another example of individuals covering topics they have no business discussing. Not saying it has to be biased, but most journalists are going to make metal look bad and use a small sector of racist shit music to pigeon hole the entire genre to the general public. CNN should stay away from this sort of stuff.

Getting mad at CNN for fucking up the “news” is like getting mad at Taco Bell at 2am for forgetting your nacho bell grande!

I’m pissed. 1) Jasta should have never been the host of Headbanger’s Ball. They should have got the guy from Foreigner or that cute girl that sings for Poison or something, but never a bald-headed little dude who is always singing songs about what time it is. 2) Jasta should never have started hanging out with the kid from Manure, it makes him look bad.
