Disturbed’s David Draiman Reveals Progress On His Autobiography

Disturbed‘s David Draiman is apparently three chapters into writing his upcoming autobiography. Draiman recently confirmed his progress via his Twitter. No word yet on whether or not it will be written entirely in caps lock.

He currently hopes to have the book out around the release of the debut album from his Device side project.

      Chapter One:
Ah, I remember it so. Twas a summer’s day when I, David Draiman, ventured forth beyond the confines of my modest home. I was elated to discover new experiences and delights whilst accommodating my desire for riches. Though, I shall not lie, I was confused on how best to increase my wealth as I had no talent nor trade.
Chance shined Her light upon me one evening when a charming band named Nickleback came on the radio (a stereoscopic machine of everyone’s fancy). That moment I realized I could gain riches beyond my desires without having the slightest bit of talent.
“Huzah!” I cried. “Why, if these gentlemen with no talent of ear can make horrible music and gain fortune so can I.”
I knew my purpose and my destiny. To start, quiet possibly, the worst band that has every been.
Will you join me, oh kind and noble reader, as I dive into my past? To journey through great dangers and enchantments? Why, I do hope so as our merriment will be most gay and fancy!

I’m not out to defend Draiman or anything, but I’m pretty sure Disturbed hit it big before anyone (in the US) knew who Nickelbutt were.

Meh, I just wrote “huzah” in a post. I’m pretty sure that disqualifies me from any sort of intelligent remark and any further posts should be taken with said grain of saltiness.

Why the hell is everyone on PRP such a massive cunt when it comes to news about Disturbed or David Draiman? If you don’t like their music or think it’s not heavy enough, don’t read the news articles about the damn band! What is with the massive hate on for them? They aren’t pop rock or some shit, there are many worse bands out there. Every article I read about them you guys are always acting like the losers who think making fun of Justin Bieber makes you hot shit. We’re all metal heads, who love genres that are considered awful noise by the mainstream and yet here we are beating down our own music and like minded people just because they got famous or aren’t heavy enough for some of us. Like honestly, no one here has any personal reason to hate Disturbed or Mr. Draiman, just opinions about them.

I will be reading this, Draiman may be an asshole but this guys this guy has seen some depressing shit. This is the first rocker biography done by An American artist born outside of the U.S. that I know of, I can only imagine what the chapter about his girlfriend committing suicide will sound like.
