Ex-Queens Of The Stone Age Bassist Nick Oliveri Avoids Jail Time For L.A. S.W.A.T. Team Standoff
Former Queens Of The Stone Age bassist Nick Oliveri will avoid jail time in relation to his standoff with a Los Angeles, CA S.W.A.T. team last summer. According to TMZ.com, Oliveri cut a deal, pleading guilty to possession of cocaine with the remaining six felony counts being dismissed.
As part of the deal he will be sentenced to 3 years felony probation; plus 52 weeks of anger management and 200 hours of community service.

Only in Cali can you get busted for cocaine, beating your wife/g/f, and have a stand off with a SWAT TEAM, and not get jail time.
no shit…. i’m no legal expert, but it seems like each one of those should be grounds for jail.
So now that the whole Prague thing is seemingly off the table we can go back to bitching about the U.S. justice system again?
Haha plead guilty for cocaine and get SIX felonies dropped? I’d be making out with my lawyer.
