Guerilla Candy caught wind of a recent interview with Mad Season, etc. drummer Barret Martin. The conversation touched upon his plans to finish previously-unreleased material from the (mostly) long-defunct outfit.

Martin revealed that his former Screaming Trees bandmate, and frequent Queens Of The Stone Age collaborator, Mark Lanegan will be tackling the vocals for the songs. The tracks in question were originally written for late group frontman Layne Staley (also of Alice In Chains).

No word on how much material is in the works or a potential release timeframe was offered however.
