      • For some reason I’m thinking Sumerian, they probably have more money then any non major label in the states. And they have a worldwide distribution deal.

they were signed to a major label, why would they drop to a non major label? I don’t know much about contracts.

        • Sumerian doesn’t have a worldwide distribution deal. Many of their albums aren’t even officially released in Germany, although it’s one of Europe’s biggest markets.

No chance machine head would sign to sumerian. I’m going to have to side with vautour (on this one). I’m thinking nuclear blast would be a seamless change for them.

Everyone on Roadrunner will be a ‘free agent’ by year’s end.
That label is falling apart more by the day..hard to see it surviving another year.

Id love to see Machine Head do the do it yourself approach as they (in my mind) have a very built in loyal fan base. I’d love to see them make so money athough the start up cost is high. They are one of the hardest working metal bands that really deserve a break and I’d love to see them make some cash.
