Between The Buried And Me Set October Release Date For New Album
Between The Buried have revealed an October 09th release date on Metal Blade Records for their new album. The effort will carry the title of “The Parallax II: Future Sequence” and will clock in with 72 minutes worth of new music.
Speaking on the concept guitarist Paul Waggoner offered:
“The two main characters of the story take on a journey through space and time with the unenviable task of having to cure the flaws of humanity by any means necessary. While the EP served mostly as an introduction to the characters, Future Sequence contains the action of the story.
The lyrics are written in the stream of consciousness style, which really helps to capture the perspective and emotion of the characters. We really enjoyed the challenge of writing this record, and I think we were all pleasantly surprised with how well the music and lyrics jived with one another. I couldn’t be happier with how Future Sequence turned out.”
Band frontman Tommy Rogers also chimed in, stating:
“This album is Between The Buried And Me on steroids. I feel like we have created an album that perfectly mirrors the band we’ve been trying to create since day one. An album that has sounds that will stimulate many genres and music fans alike.
A conceptual journey that takes the listener to worlds that seem familiar and worlds that make you scratch your head. From start to finish this is music we want to create, not music we think people want us to create.
We create songs that keep us (and hopefully you) excited about heavy music. Keep listening… something new will be there each time. Enjoy the music… we enjoyed writing it.”

COMMENTS
I couldn’t be anymore stoked about this album. Too far away though…
Really like the album artwork. Looking forward to hearing this.
gives me a “2001: A Space Odyssey” vibe
True.
Or the Empire Strikes Back sequence where the Millenium Falcon hides in the Hoth asteroid.
I cannot fucking wait either. Twin Dialogues was a huge step forward, and given each progression from album to album I really cannot fucking wait. I think I just shat myself a little. Bands writing for themselves, not fans, or labels or whatever. Bout time someone came to their senses.
Not to be a pain in the ass, but I think you mean “Hypersleep Dialogues’.
indeed i did
Can’t wait, been completely devouring everything they release since Silent Circus. The progression of this band is nothing short of amazing. Now im going to go soak in some hypersleep dialogues and imagine where the story will take us next….
Hypersleep Dialogues was great – really looking forward to this as well. So many great releases tis year.
