Lamb Of God’s Randy Blythe To Remain In Custody As Prosecutors File Complaint To Block His Release

Lamb Of God frontman Randy Blythe looks set to remain in custody in Prague, Czech Republic for a few more days at least. Various Czech media sites, including Novinky.cz, are reporting that prosecutors in the case filed a complaint this past Friday, July 06th. The motion apparently seeks to block his pending release on bail. In turn a new bail hearing will be scheduled, though it was not specified if a date has yet been set.

Last week saw Blythe post $200,000 US bail for his release. Despite coming up with the money, he had been kept in custody pending a hearing regarding the conditions of his release.

The whole situation revolves around the fatal injury of a 19 year old fan at a 2010 show the band played in Prague. The victims family allege that Blythe was directly involved in pushing the victim offstage, where he injured his head and summarily died two weeks later. However, alleged footage from the incident seems to tell a different story.

I know, eh? He’s gonna need all the money he can get considering that’s “all” he makes in a year. Maybe if he spent less of his time attacking fans who download, and spent more time making new fans he’d have more sympathy.

This is starting to piss me off, I bet LoG is never going back to Prague after this incident is over, I hope the Prosecutors die.

Eh, I don’t know. I’ve been to Prague, it’s beautiful, the women are beautiful, the food is great, the jukeboxes at bars have Carcass and Napalm Death. I met some really cool people over there too…Yeah, for the internet ass that he is, it’s not at all fair for Randy and I wish him a safe return. This is just an angry family trying to vent their frustrations to make up for their loss. My mom and I yelled at the hospital and the doctors and the staff when my dad passed away. They did everything they could but we needed somebody to blame…This whole ordeal is all just a shame really.

You speak the truth man. When Blythe does return home, hopefully he is humble in his approach at life and then of course rip shit up on stage again.

    • I don’t care how fucked and inhumane this sounds but can we just get all the smokin’ hot Czech chicks and Blythe out of that country then drop a bomb on it?

Randy will have some future songs written about this incident for sure. I’m interested on the approach he will take. He already has a song about a bad experience with an officer (ODHGABFE).

(CJSGAKITD) Czech Judicial System Gets a Kick In The Dick. I’d listen to it. The can record it with the Prague Philharmonic backing them. Why not!?! They can call it SLOG: The Symphony and Lamb of God.

the situation sucks for Randy, BUT……i have been to many shows in my time and seen many instances when security staff and such have been too eccesive with force to nuetralize fans that make it past the barriers….there needs to be a better S.O.P. (standard operational proceedure) for this, instead of pushing and or throwing the person off into the crowd risking injury to the fan and to other fans, snatch that fucker up and walk his ass out the back door of the venue and dont allow re-entry, dont get me wrong im not talking bad about Randy cause i do not know the whole situation and i feel for this guy being tried and imprisoned in a foreign country, thats sucks big ones, but if there were better guidelines to handle outa control fans this situation wouldnt be happening. with that said i have not seen the footage and Randy will be in my prayers and i dont know if randy actually touched this guy or what happend, but if someone dies at a rock show, the last person that touched him in a violent manner should be held responsible. Like i said tho, i havent seen the footage of this particular event and im just making a general comment overall. Randy you in my prayers bud, stay strong and good luck!

Ok so I haven’t followed this nonsense too much since I no longer really care for the band. Since the incident happened in 2010, did the family just wait and sneak attack him when he entered the county the next time on tour?
