Gwar‘s Oderus Urungus has been venting on Twitter regarding the recent arrest of Lamb Of God‘s Randy Blythe overseas. Here’s some excerpts from what he had to say:
“Waiting anxiously to hear the fate of the human Randy, he is a honorary slave who has died for GWAR many times. Alarmed by the lack of outrage in the entertainment community. If this was a pop artist the media would be all over this.
Thats right I am fucking appalled at the LACK of concern in the US media for the fate of Randy Blythe… Naw, just because Randy is in a nasty metal band you can just throw his ass in jail anytime you want. The whole of music media should come the fuck out and condemn this arrest and detainment. This whole thing stinks of a shakedown.”
“And for all you Blythe-haters, eat a bowl of dick. Randy is one of the coolest mofo’s on the planet. Don’t be hating, that’s my job.”

Having been to Prague myself, I can assure you that the AIRPORT is a dreary fucking place. The prison must be an absolute fucking nightmare.

Dude the whole thing is comical ( to me) in many ways, Even down to the charges, evidences, and blurbs of vague information surrounding whole thing. All comedy is at some1 expense, Our interpretation/idea of humor are obviously on different levels. Like I find the idea of rushing to defend this “cool dude” from a band u connected w/, ironically funny . There’s nothing substantial for any kind of legitimate trial. Nothing against Randy, but for as excessively opinionated he’s recently become; I’m certain, he would side with this fan. U simple-minded prick. He has a point. If this happened to anyone in the mainstream music scene, the media would be all over this story. Then again, I don’t think anyone stage dives at a Justin Bieber concert. Nor do I think Justin would be strong enough to throw anyone off stage…

I think there would be a lot more sympathy for Randall, had he not spent the past year and a half bitching about the people (who many are/were his fans) who download his music, because ya know he “Only makes $200,000 a year” but manages to pull that much out for his bail HAHA so laughable. If he (and many others in the metal/music world) would just shut the fuck up and play their music and make their money, people would have more sympathy. TOO MANY ROCKSTAR ASSHOLES IN METAL THESE DAYS!
