Lamb Of God’s Randy Blythe Arrested On Manslaughter Charges In Prague, CZE (Updated)
Lamb Of God frontman Randy Blythe has allegedly been arrested in Prague, CZE on charges of manslaughter. According to Novinky.cz, Blythe was detained today, June 28th, for a 2010 incident which allegedly saw Bythe get into a physical atercation at a May 24th, 2010 show. The other party in the incident apparently later succumbed to his injuries.
Metal Sucks have since gotten word from a band spokesperson that Blythe has been “wrongly accused” and that his legal team expect him to be “fully exonerated.”

I am czech and am seriously bummed by this. There was an accident yeah and someone died however the details are still pretty unclear. What pisses me off though is that in our media they say it was a murder which it wasn’t

Well mediocre rough I think. Not as classy as perhaps Norway but maybe possibly a bit better thank in the US although it depends on the prison he would be sent to. However should he be found guilty I think a lot of fans here would go on a protest. I hope the guys from LoG won’t change their opinion on our country because of this because of our scumbag system it would be a real shame for their fans here should they not come after this.

They never said he was being charged with murder, they said manslaughter. It’s two different things. Basically, murder is intentional and you will see jail time unless you’re OJ. Manslaughter is unintentional and if you have a good lawyer its probation an no jail time. He’ll probably just be banned from CZE for 20 years and the family gets 25 grand in punitive damages.

Well, lets see….By pursuing manslaughter charges they realize that will put his balls to wall big time, more so than just suing him. They know they can get big money with an out of court settlement because LoG doesnt need bad publicity and/or their singer rotting in a foreign prison. In their eyes, LoG is probably this massive juggernaut of a band and they makes ten of millions a year so they figure they can strike it rich.
My prediction: Randy will get a 10 year ban/probation from CZE and will pay $25k in punitive damages.

This is the first time they’ve played Prague or a nearby country since this alleged event. Besides, who’s to say said “altercation” even took place?
I don’t care one way or another but the country that wants to extradite someone has to pay the cost associated with that. It’s entirely possible CZE didn’t feel it was worth it for a manslaughter charge and were just waiting for them to come back to arrest him.
