Children Of Bodom Sign With Nuclear Blast Records
Children Of Bodom have inked a nearly-worldwide deal with former label home Nuclear Blast Records. The deal is set to cover all territories sans Japan. The group expect to release a new studio album through the label on 2013, with frontman/guitarist Alexi Laiho offering:
“We had a good, productive and long run with Spinefarm Records for fifteen years and now it’s simply just time for a change. I’m absolutely stoked to start the new chapter of COB’s career with Nuclear Blast and look forward to working with them.”

Follow the Reaper is my favorite COB album and I highly doubt they will ever top it. With that said, Hate Crew Deathroll is a fairly close second. I haven’t been a big fan of their other releases (a few good songs here and there). But I hope that this transition to Nuclear Blast will help to renew some of their creativity and drive. COB is another band with great potential, let’s just hope the fulfill it.
FTR is also my favorite but I thought Blooddrunk was pretty damn good. I think the only weak album they’ve released is Are You Dead Yet? I still think it’s funny there are two songs on that album that start out exactly like two songs from Pantera’s Far Beyond Driven. Maybe I’m the only one that’s noticed that.
