Alleged New Killswitch Engage Song Leaks Online

What is purported to be a new Killswitch Engage track has been making the rounds online today. Warner Bros. have already taken down the Youtube postings of the video for copyright infringement, adding to the credibility of the track. Being the internet, the song continues to circulate on sites such as this Tumblr. Included tags on the track seem to suggest that the groups forthcoming album may be titled “Disarm The Decent“.

It sounds better than recent KSE but I dont see myself ever enjoying them like I used to. Its going to take on hell of an album to peak my interest once again.

        • Sure, we enjoyed the album with Jesse. Don’t assume Jesse is going to step up and make them sound better, because he’s not. Alive Or Just Breathing was a great album but it’s also dated. I don’t see Jesse pulling this off.

Also I consider “As Daylight dies” their best album and that was with Howard…

        • Man, I thought As Daylight Dies was their worst by a landslide. That album had no real highlights and most of the songs just blended in with each other. I know Killswitch has always had some sort of formula but that album hammered a very boring formula into the ground.

As Daylight Dies was their most critically acclaimed album , and I don’t like St. Anger.

        • as daylight dies was formulaic, but their last self titled was just bad. formulaic> bad

        • Darkdevout…what the hell does it being “critically acclaimed” have to do with anything? Who cares what a group of people being paid for their opinions have to say. Who cares what a critic has to say. Do you base your album purchases off some idiots that get paid to write their opinions? I didnt think so. Movin on….

      • Actually, I AM My Farts Linger, dumb ass. In an earlier post (about AILD) you told me to do some “homework” in regards to my comment. Maybe you should do some “homework” and realize that you can edit your profile and change your nickname. Did you think it was simply a coincidence that the minute I began posting, My Farts Linger discontinued posting? GET FUCKED.

Changed the name once. Changed my avatar, well, about as many times as you have. Congratulations Wurst, the one person that could somewhat stand you on this site (me), has now joined the ranks of each and every other person here! Yup, you’re an annoying douche.

You’re so wise! Ironic that you were forced to bypass an actual education from a University only to make a “well shit my options are limited due to my 1.7 gpa” decision and join the military. Not that I don’t thank you for your service. But I can imagine the very limited amount of effort and enthusiasm you must put into your work.

Your loneliness and self-created status as a loner couldn’t be more obvious. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a bit of a douche too. But man, you take it to a completely different level. A level that can only be achieved by alienating each and every person that you have ever come in contact with because they, like all of us here, can not stand the fucking sight or sound of you.

          Have a great day!

        • Haha so wrong, bro. I’ll quickly correct your assumptions: University of Alabama alumni (2000), 3.2 GPA, military the month after graduation, getting married next month. I’m not a douche, I just play one on thePRP.

FYI…Alabama is full of butterface bitches, but then again, so is the military.

    • Sounds pretty legit, no doubt its new KsE. I definitely want to hear more before I make any judgments, but AoJB II this is not, which is ok. If anything it sounds a lot more like a heavier song on that times of grace album.

    • Man, this is a fucking bare bones demo, but it sounds 10x better than the last album. No offense to Howard… the dude is a competent, extremely talented vocalist. But shit was starting to really sound phoned-in. The Times of Grace album was hit-or-miss, but it still had that fire underneath it. Something about the core writers from Killswitch writing together has something really powerful underneath it. Looking forward to this shit, and definitely looking forward to catching them on the road. The live videos on YouTube show them playing like 20 year olds and they look like they’re having the time of their lives. As for Howard… can we get another BHBS album, please? Dudes practically invented “deathcore”, and it’d be sweet to hear a comeback that takes these new motherfuckers back to school. /end novel

obviously rough demo. May not be another Alive or Just Breathing, but it sounds awesome nonetheless. They sound like they are excited to write again. song writing is great, not one time was I bored listening to that.

If this is the same direction that the new album is taking, then it’s safe to say that the Massholes have done it again and redeemed themselves from sub-par albums.

First Unearth did it late last year with Darkness In The Light, followed by Shadows Fall with Fire From The Sky, and now Killswitch Engage. All of the aforementioned are produced by Adam Dutkiewicz. And Justin Foley is drumming on two out of the three.

I see a pattern here. I like this pattern. I’d like to see all three bands do a tour together. Then said pattern would come full circle and make me happy.

I can see that. I think that Fire From The Sky is their best since The Art Of Balance honestly. Retribution was good, and I guess that I can say it was a big step up for them after Threads Of Life. IMO, that album pretty much. Well. Sucked.

Didn’t you post something a while back about you being military? How can you be so Patriotic and Anti-American at the same time?

I personally don’t give a fuck, i don’t enjoy Jury Duty either, it sucks and is a snag in your day/week, but it is constitutional and fair. just saying, make up your mind.

        • Scotty, your assumption is that anyone in the military is patriotic? No offense, but I think it’s pretty obvious that that’s not the case.

Not to mention the American ideology of “Patriotism” couldn’t be more skewed. The dangerously prevalent mindset of “We are America, we are the best and this country is going to fix itself” is a mindset of delusion( a delusion that RELIGION has played a huge part in creating) not of patriotism. The other part of the equation of American patriotism being primarily made up of rebel flags, pabst blue ribbon and disability/unemployment checks.

          WOO HOO ‘Merica!!

        • Farts is correct in his ranting. In fact, that’s the mindset of a lot of the military. But you play their game for a stable career and future. Since when does someone finding a loophole in the whole jury duty situation make them unpatriotic? I never said I utilized that method, just providing a foolproof plan. Also, until YOU join the armed forces don’t judge anyone’s “patriotism”, you idiot. Get off your high horse and stop thinking because you wave a flag you’re patriotic.

I like it, but….. he’s no Howard. This is a compliment to Howard. Howard sings well. I like how Howard sings better than how Jesse sings. Howard sounds good when he sings.

        • I love Howard’s singing. I don’t like the direction KSE was going to cater to Howard’s singing. Overall, Howard is definitely a “stronger” vocalist (at least by definition) than Jesse, but I think Jesse is a much better fit for KSE. My two fav KSE albums are Alive or Just Breathing and The End of Heartache. I know that Howard was the vocalist for TEOH, but I think that the song structure and writing style was much more reminiscient of the earlier KSE style than the Hot Topic format they seemed to fall into.

Finally got to hear this track today, and not really impressed. With Howard you get love lyrics, and with Jesse you get inspirational blah blah blah lyrics.

I’ll probably pass on this album if the rest is along these lines. Killswitch has really lost their edge over the years.
