Good shit.
God I love this. Soundgarden are top notch.
There needs to be a tour made up of Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, and Pearl Jam, and soon.
This realistically should be selling out NFL stadiums, and at the least NBA/NHL arenas. Slap Candlebox in there as the opener and you have Seattle heaven (of active bands/people that are alive, of course).
Candlebox/mudhoney as an opener would be great. This would be a tour I’d gladly pay 100+ to see live.
Foo Fighters and Sunny Day Real Estate would work on that tour, and you could always throw STP and Smashing Pumpkins on too since a lot of people assumed they were from Seattle anyway
If you add the Foo Fighters to something like this then you have a concert that would run until 3am. Which I’m fine with.
No Foo Fighters on something like this. While I appreciate what Grohl did with his time in Nirvana, the Foo Fighters have never really been a Seattle band, ever. Neither were STP or Smashing Pumpkins.
But as for SDRE, that would actually be an amazing show opener. Much better then the 2 me and Adam suggested. I saw them live once when they did their latest reunion tour, and it was just amazing. The new song they played was excellent. I hope it sees the light of day very soon.
