i remember being a young pup rocking this on my cassette player…..
ahhhhhhhh, those were the days, my friend, those were the days.
I believe it was the third cd I ever bought. Still have the same copy too.
Yea same here. Def one of the earlier CD’s I bought. Metallica’s black album was my first, if I recall accurately. And then Megadeth’s Countdown to Extinction was soon after. The transition from cassette to CD back then was a pretty exciting time…but wallet draining as well, lol.
I am not sure what came first but I know it was stp sound garden superunknown rem Metallicas ride the lightning and green days dookie I musta stole um from my sisters but that was my shit lol.
First cd I ever purchased was at Harmony House and it was Ride the Lightening. Then I remember going back and getting Green Day’s Nimrod, Metallica’s Load & Garage Inc. I also recall purchasing Coal Chambers debut and also Kid Rock’s Devil Without A Cause. Miss my old disk man with the anti-shock & bass buttons.
tell u what i dont miss $10 in batteries a week and the antishock wearing off so ur holding ur cd player like an old priceless artifact!
I know my first five – Aerosmith – Get a Grip & Permanent Vacation, ZZ Top – Greatest Hits, Soundgarden – Superunknown, and AC/DC – Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap. Then a whole bunch of Jock Jams.
AWESOME CD. Purple was OK and everything else was crap.
Tiny Music was a fine album. Not on the level of Purple and Core, but very listenable.
Tiny Music & Purple were both excellent!
I’m glad ThePRP covered some STP news.
Purple is their best album in my opinion, “Lounge Fly” is one of my all time favorite songs.
By far their best album. Crackerman = STP’s best song evah. Shangri-La Dee Da is easily the weakest, but I still cherish them all as if they were my own.
