Black Label Society‘s Zakk Wylde himself briefly commented on the possibility of him ever performing with Pantera in place of late guitarist Dimebag Darrell Abbott. The Q&A took place with Billboard.com and featured the following exchange:
“Vinnie Paul said if Pantera reformed you’d be the man to replace Dimebag Daryl.
I love all those guys. It would be an honor. How could I say no? I’d do my best to make them proud.”

No, I am not a BLS fanboy. I was interviewing ZW for a magazine: the only way you could get me to speak to that guy is by paying me. Anyone ever watch That Metal Show? Vinnie was on their last episode of the season and when Pantera was mentioned, he made no bones about saying that they had a good run and just doesn’t feel right doing it without Dime. That’s not a direct quote but something along the lines of I highly doubt we’ll see any version of Pantera anytime soon…..you know though people said Van Halen would never reform with Roth so you never know. Either way even if we don’t see a reunion of sorts Phil and Vinnie still need to lay that shit to rest cause that it’s not healthy to hold grudges…especially on something you had no control over. It’s not like anyone could predict what was going to happen that night. No one knows what’s going to happen the next day so the only thing we can do is to forgive and make the best of the present and stop dwelling even though it’s hurtful you still have to let that demon out.
