Thrice’s Riley Breckenridge: “We Still Want To Do This, We Just Can’t Do It Right Now”
Thrice‘s farewell tour doesn’t necessarily mean the end for the group. Band drummer Riley Breckenridge recently told Rocksound.tv:
“It is not really over. It’s over for now, and it’s not really my choice to end it, but I do understand the reasoning for it and I’m respectful of that. I’m excited to see what comes next for all of us, by no means is it a break up.
We still want to do this, we just can’t do it right now. We will write music together again, we will play shows together again but right now it’s important for us to do other things. It’s scary and exciting at the same time.”
Meanwhile, band vocalist/guitarist Dustin Kensrue will be playing special solo shows in the coming weeks with details to be made available through Twitter.com/invisible_music.

In other words: Our singer went all “Brian Head Welch” on us, and we don’t know what to do.
Not really … He (they) have always been a band with some Christian content. But they’ve grown up, gotten married, had kids. And yes, the singer is now Worship Minister at a church. All of these things aren’t very compatible with the requirements of being a touring band.
jesus ruins another perfectly good rock band…
Man this nigga is like my homie Carter, nigga say “I could’ve gotten a football scholarship to USC, but I didn’t feel like it.” Nigga please! Fire up the stove and make some mac & cheese!
