Deftones Confirm Producer For New Album
The Deftones have enlisted producer Nick Raskulinecz (Alice In Chains, Foo Fighters) to helm the ongoing recording sessions for their new album. The band previously worked with Raskulinecz on 2010′s “Diamond Eyes“. A release through Reprise later this year is expected for the effort with more details pending.
Meanwhile, in case you missed it previously, the band will spend some of August on the road with System Of A Down.

Best news I’ve read all day.
No love for Terry? Guess theres still Eros…
Naw dude, I love Terry Date. He helped with some of the most legendary albums ever. Around the Fur, Overkill’s The Years of Decay, Pantera’s Vulgar Display of Power. But he’s been at it for too long, straight. He needs some time off to relax his ears, and come back producing with a vengeance. We were taught that listening to an album too long while mixing will make the work suffer, as you get listener’s fatigue. Look at Terry’s body of work… that poor man needs a vacation. He’s got years ahead of him.
I’m certainly not complaining.
BOOM. Gonna be a classic.
