Former Bury Your Dead Guitarist Eric Ellis On Trial For Racketeering Charges

Former Bury Your Dead guitarist Eric Ellis is on trial in Jacksonville, FL in connection to a series of gang-oriented crimes; including home invasions, bank robbery, assaults and more.

Ellis (who played with the band from 2004-2008,) and Maynard Kenneth Godwin are up for racketeering charges related to a gang they were allegedly deeply involved in dubbed “The Guardians” — an outfit alleged to be inspired by the fictional outlaw biker club featured in the “Sons Of Anarchy” TV series.

More from the proceedings, including a list of accusations, etc. can be found over at Jacksonville.com.

dude’s gotta get paid. I’m surprised he wasn’t able to survive on his weekly salary from Bury Your Dead alone. Such a shame when a world class musician succumbs to the temptations of drugs and violence. He could easily funnel that negative energy by writing another groundbreaking dun-dun-wee hook for his band. The world loses another hero.

That’s some fucking funny stuff right there! Inspired by a T.V. show! What a dumb-fuck; maybe he’ll be inspired by the Big Bang Theory next year!

You mean create a product for people think they’re being smart and witty because it deals with nerd humor when really it’s one of the worst products to make it to market in recent history? TBBT = Crocs + Snuggie of TV.

Yeah, The Big Bang Theory sucks. I can’t stand it. And yes, I get all the jokes, but they’re so forced it’s painful to watch.

Once he’s out of jail maybe he’ll start a gang inspired by Jersey Shore and act all guido and shit.

So he’s in an M.C full of dudes that constantly whine? Sons of Anarchy isn’t exactly what you’d think of when you ponder “Bad Ass Motorcycle Club.” Might as well start an M.C based on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
