The official announcement has been made for this years “Heavy MTL” festival. The show will take place at Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal, QC on August 11th-12th. The first 500 attendees to buy reserved seating weekend passes via Heavymtl.com will receive free downloads of Serj Tankian‘s (System Of A Down) new solo album in August; and of System Of A Down offshoot Scars On Broadway‘s forthcoming new album this fall.

Keen-eyed readers may notice that the trek festival essentially features the thus-far announced lineup of this years “Summer Slaughter Tour“; leading to speculation that some of the above-mentioned acts are future additions to the aforementioned tour.
