These two cats exist on a higher plane of reality than the rest of us. Bring on the insanity.
Full of themselves. Get new hairstyles too.
Oh shit, he is quoting L. Ron Hubbard!

Ridiculous, in that they seem to actually think there’s real substance in the bullshit spewing from their mouths.
no shit. typical artsy hipsters thinking their thoughts are deeper than a fucking ocean.
LMFAO > The Mars Volta
They’re sexy and they know it?
+ they’re in Miami, bitch.
Coming from the guy that likes Emmure and Devil Wears Prada.
mars volta are one of the best bands out today! easy
I can’t take a single word out of these 2 pretentious goons mouths seriously.
“Look at us. We’re so smart, introverted and eccentric. We have Afro’s.”
Bottom line, If these 2 weren’t in At The Drive-In at some point, Nobody on earth would give a shit about The Mars Volta and their shitty “conceptual” records.
On the contrary, I only discovered AtDI through TMV and I still like TMV considerably better. What did these guys ever do to you to deserve such malice?
Plenty of people give more than a shit and actually think it’s cool that a group would want to create an entirely new universe and tell its story over the course of an album. Some of the people posting these hateful messages obviously have no appreciation for music or art. I don’t claim to fully understand their sound and at times I may skip over certain songs. At least I can appreciate it for what it is; art.
Well said, Blues.
How was what they said pretentious? They simply answered questions. I didn’t detect an inflated sense of importance at all.
Noctourniquet is an excellent album. That’s all I give a fuck about.
Wow. A real bummer some of you won’t be able to get down with their tunes. I just feel that’s most unfortunate, like when I first saw them open for A Perfect Circle & thought they were horrid upon first impression. It would be easy to clown on some people’s music tastes but it’s all fine and dandy.
Agreed; Their lackluster live performance is what turned me off, as well.
