Limp Bizkit’s Signing With Cash Money Records Officially Announced

Limp Bizkit‘s signing with Cash Money Records has been officially announced. The following press release was issued on the matter:

“(February 24, 2012 – New York, NY) Cash Money Records co-CEOs andfounders Ronald “Slim” Williams and Bryan “Birdman” Williams are proud to welcome the famed frontman Fred Durst and Grammy nominated, multi-platinum selling band Limp Bizkit to the Cash Money Records and YMCMB family. Limp Bizkit, founded by Durst in 1994, has sold over 33 million albums worldwide and recently completed several globally successful tours before linking up with Cash Money CEOs Bryan “Birdman” Williams and Ronald “Slim” Williams.

The Cash Money Records and YMCMB family continues to grow and work in various music genres as shown by the addition of Limp Bizkit. We have always admired how they have been able to blend rock and hip hop andwill bring a unique sound to the label,” says Bryan “Birdman” Williams, who co-founded Cash Money Records alongside Ronald “Slim” Williams. “We are excited to see the work and collaborations that come from the entire Cash Money family with the addition of Limp Bizkit,” says Slim.

Limp Bizkit, fronted by Fred Durst, first came into prominence with their multiplatinum 1997 release Three Dollar Bill, Yall$, featuring hit song “Faith”. Over the past 15 years Limp Bizkit released four more albums Significant Other, Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water, The Unquestionable Truth Part 1 and Gold Cobra garnering three Grammy nominations along the way. Currently, Fred Durst and Limp Bizkit are both recording with Birdman in Miami at the famed Hit Factory, preparing for their offerings for Cash Money Records.

As both an artist and someone who has signed artists, I can say without a doubt that Cash Money is at the top of their game. What attracted me to the label is not only their great taste and hustle, but their belief in their artists and the family atmosphere. Slim and Birdman allow their artists to be themselves and encourage creative output and continued development. I look forward to bringing my vision as a director as well as my voice to the label and to Limp Bizkit putting out some of our best music to date,” says Fred Durst.

Outside of Limp Bizkit, Fred Durst has been making waves in the film world having directed the 2007 film The Education of Charlie Banks, which won the “Made in NY Narrative Award” at the Tribeca Film Festival and The Longshots in 2008 starring Ice Cube.

Moving forward, fans can expect new music and collaborations from both Fred Durst and Limp Bizkit in the coming months throughout 2012. “This is the most at home, comfortable, and confident I have felt in the business to date,” says Fred Durst about joining Cash Money Records.”

    • That’s pretty loose butthole in regards to how they only speak about Durst, as those the other guys are just random throw-ins like the new Guns ‘N Roses.

I like how the only hit single they mention is a cover song and the fact that they’re having one of the label’s founding brothers produce their debut album. It actually speaks volumes about the lack of confidence they have in them.

Your music sucks. It is really just the worst thing in the world. It’s at least twice as bad as 9/11. If ever there was an argument for abortion you sir are it. This is a metal news website not Myspace, so if you want to promote your terrible “music” please go elsewhere. You’re not funny, unique, weird or whatever else it is you are trying so incredibly hard to convince everyone here that you are. You are annoying and dumb and your animation sucks abnormally large donkey cock. There’s no excuse for what you do, please just fucking kill yourself and leave the rest of us here in peace.

Dude? For a serious second…. What the fuck are you going on about? I hate to tell anyone they’ve wasted their time…. However I think you not only wasted your time, but others. Now we all feel compelled to ask if you’ll stop!
