    • Not even a sarcastic comment from Wook in the news? Man, I had to read the article twice to be sure it was missing!

If only they were touring with Korn, Staind and Limp Bizkit, it would be 1998 all over again.

Over the past six months this place has looked a tad Nu-Metal. All the reunions, new albums, new formations and such. It’s got me a bit off kilter. As if I am really back in highschool and the past 12 years have been a dream. If so I’m going to be pissed. Being a tattooe-less, sober, virgin with homework was not fun.

Orgy has jumped on the dub step train.
Pretty sad when your original guitarists would rather be in Chester from Linkin Park’s shitty unknown side project than in a band that once sold like 3x platinum.
He also got 2 members from Deadsy in this..how much more can you steal from Elijah Allman, Jay?

    • 16 year old me is pumped, if only because Jay lifted half of Deadsy’s line-up.

I wouldn’t call it stealing, though, since Deadsy have been Dead for a good five years. Homeboys gotta eat!

I meant stealing because Jay Gordan was originally in Deadsy before creating Orgy.
And low and behold, Orgy completely stole Deadsy’s sound..just made it more commercial..thats what I was referencing.

Yes, I too came up during the nu-metal renaissance but it’s it’s pretty fucking sad how much you guys seem to know about these fucking bands. Either A) you were that into fucking Orgy or B) you are simply regurgitating Wikipedia and trying to pass yourselves off as Orgy authorities. Lose/lose situation on that one.

      • I fit into (A). Orgy was on the Family Values Tour back in the late 90s and that was probably my biggest show at that point. 16-year-old me loved ‘em, and didn’t dig this other band called Incubus or something that played before Orgy (that’s right – before; this pre-Make Yourself). Then Korn came out and fuckin’ destroyed me and my buddies.
If that’s sad, I’m a sad, sad panda.

Oh Snap! Is it time to play “Useless Knowledge About Shitty Bands”? I came of age in the hair metal heyday! If you wanna hear a bunch of useless shit about obsolete bands I can talk yer ear off!

    • So, lemme get this straight… People are complaining because “they liked Orgy back in the day” and it’s either ages ago, or feels like it; because they liked the associated acts (Deadsy, Snot, etc); because they like the new drummer… Am I the weird one who really liked Candyass and Vapor Transmission (and still like them), and is at least curious as to what they’re gonna do now? Yeah, I think it sucks that Gordon’s the only original member there, but still… And well, they had a ton of electronic stuff in their music, so Skrillex being involved in a song doesn’t really surprises me anyway, I’ll just look forward to listening to it, and if I don’t like it, I’ll just let it be, and move on to something else, not saying “oh, they suck now, and even if I liked their old stuff, now I don’t like it either!” – which seems kind of dumb if you ask me.

      • i agree. It’s gonna be interesting to hear how they sound after all these years. I’m sure they have matured alot and so they will have a much more mature sound for this day and age. It trips me out how people can just write off bands from back in their day

I love the fact I was in highschool in the early 90′s. Rock was alive and breathing back then. Pure heart and passion and great songwriting came out of the 90′s era. People cared more for writing good songs than just smoldering riffing that sounds the same track by track album after album like in the metal world these days.
