Anthrax Bassist Frank Bello Steps Down From Ongoing Tour, Joey Vera To Fill In
Anthrax‘s ongoing tour with Testament and Death Angel continues to be plagued with unforeseen circumstances. The latest casualty is band bassist Frank Bello, who has left the trek in order to spend time with his ailing, terminally ill, grandmother. Bello is the nephew of Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante, who also recently left the tour to be by her side.
Joey Vera of Armored Saint, etc. will fill in for Bello at the immediate upcoming stops; while Gene Hoglan, who is currently out with Testament, has been holding it down in Benante‘s sted. As recently reported, guitarist Scott Ian also recently had to temporarily step down due to illness. Members of Death Angel stepped up in his place.
