I got an ‘exclusive’ copy of this on black marble (translucent) via Hot Topic (I know, it was an impulse buy from going Xmas shopping and I didn’t want to fork out for the whole vinyl box set). It sounds KILLER!

So, Xerces, Rapture, Hexagram, Needles and Pins, Deathblow, Combat, Hole in the Earth, KimDracula, Riviere, Battle-Axe, Minerva, and Bloody Cape should have never happened?!

I’ll say that SNW is their ‘worst’ but if it was released by any other band it’d be a career highlight. I just listened to that this morning. Both have a couple of ‘miss’ tracks but sounds like dudes were going through horrible shit at the time. I guess you’re expecting them to repeat Adrenaline after 15+ years like the rest of the dummies out there. Oh, well! Keep hopin’!

You know, I sort of agree. As in, it’s probably my third favorite. It gets way too much flack and I don’t understand why. Around The Fur will always be my favorite. I’m going to open myself for a world of shit but, really, Adrenaline is by far their weakest. They grew so much in just one album and have continued to do so.

        • I completely agree about Adrenaline. It’s not just the production values – there is some awful stuff on that record.

Adrenaline, awful? I think I could understand someone not “getting it” because of it being so raw, but awful? It’s a masterpiece. There isn’t one weak song on the entire album. See what I did there?

        • I think Adrenaline probably is their weakest album, but that doesn’t mean its anywhere near awful.

In my opinion, Some of “Adrenaline” didn’t exactly stand the test of time. Like, At this point in my life I just don’t really wanna hear Chino rapping, Yanno? That;s just me. But even with that being said, It’s far from a bad record. And not even close to being an “Awful” record. Songs like “Birthmark”, “Fireal” and “Fist” will keep me coming back forever. Deftones CLASSICS. And I get why some people wouldn’t like the recording quality of it, Cuz it’s a very raw record, But personally, I like the way it sounds. It sounds like an old demo or a Bad Brains tape or something.

You wanna hear awful? Check out Korn’s new record.
