Still Remains Members Perform Deftones Tribute Set In Grand Rapids, MI, Footage Available
Still Remains members T.J. Miller and A.J. Barette recently teamed up Dan Cox of Stockton and more for a Deftones tribute set.
Adopting the moniker of 7 Words, the band paid tribute to the Deftones‘ album “Adrenaline” at the “Anniversary Of An Uninteresting Event: A Tribute To The Deftones” show; which took place in Grand Rapids, MI this past Friday, December 02nd.

i’m surprised at how much i didn’t hate that, props to them. however, the dude’s dancing during minus blindfold kinda made me uncomfortable.
I’m with ya; most “tributes” or covers from newer bands sound like shit; this was pretty good.
Nothing makes you respect Chino’s voice more than when someone ATTEMPTS to hit the notes in a Deftones cover song, though…

Damn, I was invited to this but I had the flu last weekend. I wasn’t too worried about missing it at the time because I just figured whoever 7 Words were would just butcher my favorite band anyways. I didn’t realize it was the Still Remains dudes doing it though. It actually sounded okay.
Vocally/musically it did sound pretty good. But like was mentioned, just not sure about the dudes dance moves. A little bit….dandy.
