Corey Taylor (Slipknot/Stone Sour) Disses Stone Temple Pilots Frontman Scott Weiland, Footage Available

Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor recently had some less than flattering things to say regarding Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots/ex-Velvet Revolver fame. Taylor lambasted the singer during the November 28th Indianapolis, IN stop of his solo tour. You can watch footage of that below.

Meanwhile, it probably deserves mentioning that Taylor was of course once a major contender to replace Weiland in Velvet Revolver.

    • There is a point where ‘speaking your mind’ or ‘telling it like it is’ just makes you look like a bitchy little girl.

I don’t know what the deal is with these spoken word shows, but it seems to me that Corey is coming across like a bargain basement Henry Rollins, but with only a miniscule fraction of the maturity, insight, erudition and humour.

Thumbs-up for mentioning Rollins. His spoken word shows are unparalleled by anyone doing them today. When I caught him on his “Provoked” tour, he talked for 3 hours straight with no intermission…equal amount of energy throughout the whole show too. Incredible. Henry Rollins FTW of everything.

        • Usually for spoken word/lecture/story time events such as these the first handful of rows will be about double the price of GA and include some kind of extra perk (meet & greet, keep an item, etc.) so you could very well be correct if it’s a theater-type setting as opposed to GA.

    • Fuck Corey Taylor, he isn’t 1/100th the frontman Weiland is even when Weiland is falling off the stage wasted. It’s not like Weiland dropped all of his projects, he added TO his projects – the complete opposite of sloth you dumb fuck.

    • So what the fuck is his point? Weiland put out a shitty Christmas album. How is that stealing your money exactly? It’s called The Most Wonderful Time of the Year and the cover has Christmas ornaments and shit hanging on it and the track listing is a bunch of Christmas songs. If someone buys this expecting to hear STP then they are an illiterate dumbass. It’s a shitty album maybe, probably but he’s not more a lazy piece of shit then Taylor is for putting out radio friendly cockrock. Taylor is by far 1 of the biggest offenders of doing anything to make a buck i’ve seen in the last 10 years. I’m also tweaking on a gallon of coffee and should end this comment.

    • Just be a musician. Your attempts at comedy are pathetic! Go record music, don’t bash on people. If you don’t want to record music, go be you somewhere where I can’t hear you. This video says, “I am trying too hard”…

    • What is the point of these shows?

People pay money to go and bum him for a couple of hours which in turn makes him believe that he has some talent in observational comedy. Let’s hope it doesn’t last.

    • Wow Corey Taylor Taking shits on Weiland? I would rather listen to a Christmas album by Weiland then anything MR. Taylor has ever recorded. On that note I have learned not to listen to anything MR. Taylor says for about Ten years now that includes that video.

Making this about the music is ignorant when he’s the lead singer of one of the best metal bands of this millenium and stone sour is good too, all that aside thinking something and saying it are very different things escpecially if you saying it to an audience.

Hey Corey, Stone Sour is easily the biggest pile of shit ever considered to be “rock”. Shut the fuck up already, at least until you start making decent music again, if at all possible.

Corey Taylor is mad because Slipknot lost a Grammy to linkin park like ten years ago. So when he comes out swinging with, “these motherfuckers don’t give a shit about anything but money”. I had to laugh, because why would you cry about a grammy? And make fun of Scott for singin xmas tunes “all serious” when he made a “srs” vidya for his song Bother where he watched himself get old then inherit his fuckin Spider-man ring from himself. lololol. Because Spider-man is serious guys.
