Guitarist from crappy band + vocalist from really, really crappy band + covering an overrated band = shit. utter shit.
crappy comment from veganbassist = utter shit
Listened to it again, nope, still sucks.
Also, your handle is named after Hatebreed. Anyone who likes anything Jasta’s been involved in clearly has an opinion that doesn’t matter to me anyway.
Hey deathcore kids, since those of us who contribute to society pay for your welfare and/or disability via taxes howz about youz guyz shut your fucking traps and accept that your opinions are worth as much as tits on a nun. Just because your parents held your head underwater often enough at a young age that you have the intellect of a potato doesn’t mean the rest of us should have to suffer right? Dummy-up bitches
Slayer overrated? Fag. I mean that in the most un-PC, offensive way possible.
cool. wanna makeout? I’ll let you give me a reach around.
Okay, so, a vocalist with nothing to make him stand out from the crowd covers a vocalist who can at least carry a tune. Hmm. A guitarist who couldn’t even stay in a shitty band contributes solos. Hmm. And this all comes together as one of the three guitarists from Whitechapel does a boring cover of an only semi-decent Slayer song. I feel like I yawned for the entire song.
This was the weakest song off God Hates Us All to begin with, and it really doesn’t lend itself to death metal or hardcore as far as style goes… so why they’d pick it is beyond me. But as a fan of both Whitechapel and I Declare War… I still have to say this cover sucks.
Tough critics!
I actually like the original by Slayer. Recent output overrated? Maybe. Overrated BAND? I don’t think so. 3/4s of the metal bands mentioned on this site would not exist if it wasn’t for Slayer.
Just where a guitarist from a derivative band plans to go with this tune I am not sure. Especially since it is so similar in style to the original.
“3/4s of the metal bands mentioned on this site would not exist if it wasn’t for Slayer.”
Wishful thinking.
If you don’t hear their influence, may I suggest getting familiar with their back catalog? Wishful thinking, my ass. 3/4 was a modest figure, dude!
What’s that awful sound where the vocals should be? Yeesh.
Slowly warming up to a couple songs from these guys(very slowly) but this is pure trash.
slayer is fucking amazing and allways will be i agree with the 3/4s comment. this sucks maybe these death core singers should take the dicks out of there mouths when they sing, i like the original as far as a radio song but there are sooo many better songs on god hates us all, that cd is goddamn amazing! seven faces may be my favorite,
Therefore the names Slayer and Whitechapel(or any deathcore band for that matter) should never be mentioned in the same sentence.
