    • There aren’t even real drums on this shit song – and the NEW, unoriginal member, drummer is the one who plays with any gusto in the band these days. Man, this is a far cry from 1994 when a friend said “hey check out this song, it’s called faget.”

    • man, when they try something different its called bandwagoning, and when they go back to their old sound they are accused of running out of ideas. nice try in trying to stay relevant, korn, but youve almost lost it.

I’ve kept pretty silent for a few years on this… actually, I NEVER post in these types of things just because they tend to be a breeding ground of the lowest common denominator of assholes and morons, but I have to say this at least once: Do any of you find it disheartening to read all the negativity and bandwagoning of all the Korn haters? Things have reached a boiling point of ignorance and gang mentality with all this hate. The most cliche thing you can possibly do is bag on Korn these days. Even when it makes no sense. You may not care for their music these days, but have some fucking respect for their willingness to experiment and put their balls on the fucking chopping block. If they sounded just like they used to, you would accuse them of being yesterday’s diapers. They continually reinvent themselves, and you pat yourselves on the back for hating on their attempts. Even I don’t care for a lot of what they’ve done in the past 5 years, but out of respect for their originality and importance to the history of heavy music (and mine and most of YOUR younger lives), I keep my trap shut, rather than join the rest of the clones. Just remember this: all the fans and magazines that used to heap tons of critical acclaim and fervor towards this band are the same hypocrites now bagging on them as if they’ve always been shit. This revisionist view that Korn was somehow always shitty is a slap in the face.
All I’m saying is, use some common sense and tone it down for your own good. The act of joining Korn haters is far more weak than even the worst Korn song. Have some respect for yourselves.

      • I think most of the hate towards their new stuff is because they’re jumping on a bandwagon that is taking their shitty sound and adding another shitty sound on top of it.
Korn only deserve credit for creating a boring and terrible style of metal.

      • i think most of the hate is due to their degression not progression friend, if you wanna support their mind numbing “twisted transistor” approach and singing about “shiny rims” and “sweet sugar gum or guns” or whatever the fuck their goin for you go right ahead, but know this the duration of koRn fans held on through untouchables and celebrated their willingness to experiment, and take a look in the mirror come on now it almost doesnt get any better than that album for their catalog but we as fans arent as stupid as you may believe we never lost respect until they started to alienate their own selves and simplify the music so us intelligent koRn fans enjoy them for what they once were but are smart enough to jump ship when the band themselves are sinking it, enjoy respecting a band that doesnt respect themselves fucko! meanwhile ill bet you still pat rob zombie on the back for his progression “foxy, foxy” you misinformed tool

      • I agree, they get shit on no matter what move they make, and they’re one of the very few bands left that are pushing the envelope and thinking outside of the box. Half these haters on here probably don’t have the slightest creative bone in their body. Everyone cries, “Do something different!” then when it’s given, it’s “Oh they suck, they didn’t stay the same!” As a musician to the creative genius haters, I say, go fuck yourself. stop listening to “crap”, quit talking shit and make the difference yourself, instead of sitting at the computer all day, having a baby ass conniption fit all day over what’s being put out.

I get what you’re trying to say but I think you’re still missing the point entirely. There are plenty of us who used to be Korn fans that can’t stand them now for a totally different reason. We grew up. I didn’t start hating on Korn just because others were. My hating started plenty before that. In fact, it started when plenty of other people were just getting into the band. For me, I moved onto better, more talented bands and realized how juvenile Korn was. From their lyrics to the songwriting to their teen angst (that they should have been well over by the time they even started the band) to their laughable image, I simply realized that their schtick was as mature as the Jncos I was also tossing out.

    • Korn is staying relevant and always pushing the envelope trying new things? Oh, that must be why their latest full release was called Korn III: Remember Who You Are – AND it was recorded with Ross Robinson. I argue that Korn now have no balls and always try to retreat to their old sound and vibe (which is generally a bad move) as is evident by their album title and process which suggest disregarding all the band’s catalog since Self Titled and Life Is Peachy. Dude, I love Korn and what they did for music – that’s why I’m even commenting on this – I’m disappointed with how they were once revolutionary but now struggle constantly for an identity.
