Rev Theory Drop Off “Share The Welt Tour” (Five Finger Death Punch, Etc.) Due To Injury

Rev Theory have been forced to pull out of the “Share The Welt Tour” with Five Finger Death Punch, All That Remains and Hatebreed. The move comes as a result of band guitarist Julien Jorgensen having a tendon severed in his left hand following a freak beer bottle accident.

The official explanation can be found below:

“Las Vegas, NV — A freak accident at a wedding in Las Vegas, NV has forced Rev Theory to cancel all Fall touring plans. The quintet was scheduled to play the 48 Hours Festival in Las Vegas next week-end, followed by a run across the country with Five Finger Death Punch, All That Remains, and Hatebreed.

While at a post-wedding reception gathering, an individual standing adjacent to Jorgensen was opening a beer bottle without an opener. It slipped, shattered on the edge, and sliced the guitarist’s left hand on the follow through. The resulting cut has been operated on, and he is unable to perform at this time.

A full recovery is expected. Jorgensen shared, “I am super bummed that happened, and it is a freak accident. It is a helpless feeling. I feel bad about dropping off the tour and disappointing the fans. As soon as I am able, we will be back on the road.” Singer Rich Luzzi added, “After being a band for 10 years, Rev does not feel comfortable taking the stage without our brother as it would not be a true representation of the band.”

Future plans for touring will be announced once available. Rev Theory’s current single “The Fire” is at #37 on the Active Rock radio chart. It follows the top fifteen hit and title track from their recent release Justice. The album had a strong first week at retail, with Billboard chart debuts of 11 at Alternative, 20 at Hard Rock and 75 on the Top 200 National chart”

Freak accident at a wedding? More like a bruised ego from no one showing up to watch your band’s set.
